AO PSYCHOLOGY / INFORMATION

Clear information supports informed choices.

AO Psychology provides counselling-led therapy, non-diagnostic screening guidance and suitably scoped written services. Website content is general information; it does not replace individual clinical assessment, medical advice, specialist diagnosis or emergency care.

PROFESSIONAL FRAMEWORK

Support within an appropriate scope.

AO Psychology is led by a counsellor with a Master of Counselling and ACA Level 2 registration. Services are delivered by a qualified counselling practitioner with ACA Level 2 registration.

01 / WHO PROVIDES CARE

Registered counsellor

Services are offered within the practitioner’s education, continuing development, supervision, experience and assessed competence. An enquiry may lead to a discussion of suitability or referral elsewhere.

02 / WHAT SCREENING DOES

Structured information gathering

ADHD, autism and wellbeing screening can support reflection and planning. Results are not a clinical diagnosis, and diagnostic or specialist testing requires referral to an appropriately qualified professional.

03 / WHAT REPORTS MEAN

Purpose-specific documentation

Written reviews, functional summaries and counselling reports are prepared only for an agreed question and available supporting information. They are not forensic, medical or expert opinions unless specifically qualified and contracted for.

04 / INDIVIDUAL CIRCUMSTANCES

No guaranteed outcome

Different people need different supports. Website examples and educational content cannot establish the best approach or guarantee improvement for any particular person.

INFORMATION AND RELATIONSHIPS

What viewing this website does—and does not—mean.
