Make an enquiry Considering a referral for a client, student or community member? We welcome general enquiries from health, education, disability and community professionals. You can ask about counselling, non-diagnostic screening or written reports. Before accepting a referral, we check whether the service is suitable, within our professional role and available, and clarify consent. We also welcome preliminary NDIS counselling enquiries for eligible self-managed and plan-managed participants.

A useful referral tells us the broad concern and what the person hopes to achieve. We consider whether the service fits our professional scope or whether another practitioner would be more suitable. Formal diagnosis and specialist opinions may need an appropriately qualified professional.

The initial professional enquiry is for general contact and service-matching information only. You can tell us your professional role, the broad reason for the enquiry and how to reach you; please do not send a client’s name, identifying details, clinical notes or documents through this form. If more information is needed, we first clarify consent and an appropriate method for sharing it.
We can then clarify suitability, any consent or information-sharing requirements, and the next appropriate step with the person or professional involved.
Go to referral enquiryA brief referral question is usually enough to start. The key details are the broad goal, the type of service being considered and any access questions, such as whether support is sought online or under a particular funding arrangement. Detailed client history and records should be discussed only after an appropriate consent and information-sharing pathway is established.
Clear service information supports better decisions for clients, families and referring professionals.
A good referral pathway helps the person know what is being suggested and why. After the preliminary enquiry, suitability, consent, service format, reporting expectations, fees and funding can be clarified before any ongoing work or written product is agreed. Information is not routinely shared back to referrers without appropriate authority.
Describe the support requested and confirm the person knows about the referral.
We consider the client's goals, requested service, format and relevant referral questions.
Discuss proposed service arrangements, fees, funding and any consent or information needs. Online appointment booking is not currently enabled.
The person receives appropriate next-step information; professional updates require agreed consent.
